1B Chris Davis landed on the DL last week with an oblique strain. Keep Davis stashed away but don't expect a quick return as oblique injuries tend to linger. The Orioles have slotted Trey Mancini in at first with Davis out but he has been seeing significant playing time for awhile now. Still, a handful of extra at bats makes Mancini worth an add in many leagues. 1B Hanley Ramirez remains day-to-day as he's missed three straight games with a pinched nerve in his neck Ramirez is questionable for the start of the week and owners should be prepared to roll with other options. 2B Jason Kipnis returned to the Indians' lineup on Friday after missing a few games last week with a stiff neck. Kipnis has struggled this season both with injuries and performance and owners may want to look elsewhere until he starts to turn his season around. DH Victor Martinez was placed on the 10-day DL on Friday after spending Thursday night in the hospital with an irregular heartbeat. Martinez is only worth stashing away in deep leagues.
Michael Fulmer returned to the mound on Saturday after having his previous start skipped because of shoulder bursitis. Fulmer should remain in lineups this week as long as there are no lingering issues with his shoulder following yesterday's start. Lance McCullers was placed on the 10-day DL last week with lower back discomfort but is eligible to return as early as Monday. McCullers will make a start this week, according to manager A.J. Hinch, so owners will want to be sure to plug him in once his return is confirmed. Dallas Keuchel is hoping to resume throwing in the next few days as he works his way back from a nerve issue in his neck. Keep Keuchel stashed as it'll be a few weeks before he can help fantasy owners again.
Aroldis Chapman is expected to return today after missing a month with shoulder inflammation. Chapman automatically returns to his spot as a top fantasy reliever. Dellin Betances will return to a setup role which gives him a big value hit in saves leagues but he's still a valuable fantasy piece.
