Jacob Latz- RP- TEX- Rise Value- Latz has emerged as the Texas closer. He has 11 saves, 6 of them in his last 7 appearances dating back to May 26. Latz has a 1.62 ERA, 2.41 FIP, and 9.45 K/9. He has appeared in 26 games and pitched 33.1 innings. That gives him value. Currently the Rangers are in a down stretch, losing 5 of their last 6 to teams they should have beaten more often. The team is a roller coaster so the save opportunities may come in bunches and then hit a dry spell. Still, if you are looking for someone to bolster your bullpen, you can do worse.
Gunnar Henderson- SS- BAL- Stats- Henderson is slashing just .223/.292/.416 in 342 PAs. His chase rate has increased from 27.6% in 2025 to 32.1% this year. Henderson's SwStr% has stayed the same at 10.9% while his Contact% has gone up from 76.8% to 77.7%. He has seen his K% rise to 24.6% and his BB% fall to 7.9%. Although Henderson's EV has dropped from 92.1 to 89.4 and HardHit% from 49.0% to 45.6% he has slugged 15 homers, only two behind his total for all of 2025. Recent results have not been favorable. Henderson has only 2 homers in has last 16 games and his xBA from June 1-17 was only .235. He has not been able to produce at his expected level.
Royce Lewis- 3B- MIN- Cold- Lewis wore the Golden Sombrero yesterday, going 0-for-5 with 4 Ks. This is an aberration from his performance since coming back from AAA St. Paul. Lewis has gone 12-for-42 with 3 homers, 2 doubles, 6 runs, and 7 RBI in 11 games. In the first 10 games of that stretch he overperformed. Lewis had a .324 AVG with a .252 xBA and a .622 SLG with a .499 xSLG. That is not unprecedented in his career. In limited playing time his first two seasons Lewis posted averages of .300 and .309 an xBA of .265 and .258, respectively. His SLG was .550 and .548 in those years while his xSLG was .448 and .486. Lewis is a risk but he could give a good return if he can sustain his recent results longer. He has a pedigree with potential and is in his age 27 season.
Travis Bazzana- 2B- CLE- Rookie- Bazzana went 1-for-3 with his 5th homer and walked twice to continue a solid rookie campaign. He is slashing .250/.353/.418 in 187 PAs. Bazzana has been overperforming with a 88.6 EV and 35.0% HardHit%. His xBA entering yesterday was .235 while his xSLG was .352. Bazzana overperformed in a similar way at the AAA level. He has shown good plate discipline with a 23.1% Chase rate and a 12.8% BB%. Bazzana is only 23 but is putting up solid results that should improve as he gains more experience at the MLB level.
Sean Burke- P- CHW- Hot- Burke passed a significant test last night. He threw 7.1 IP in a bulk role against the Yankees. Burke allowed 1 run on 5 hits and a walk while striking out 8. His record evened at 4-4. Burke was very efficient, throwing 65 of his 88 pitches for strikes. He has a 3.89 ERA, very close to his 3.96 FIP and has 81 Ks in 81 IP. Burke has been inconsistent in terms of durability. In 15 appearances he has pitched at least 6 IP 5 times. The 7.1 IP equaled Burke's longest outing this season. He has improved on his 2025 performance and is getting better overall.
