Giancarlo Stanton, OF, NYY
Stanton continued his heater on Tuesday night, going 2 for 3 with a homer, a double, and driving in all five of the Yankees' runs on the evening. Over his last eleven appearances, he's 15 for 32 with seven homers and 16 RBI. The 35-year-old vet's season started late due to an elbow injury, but he has nonetheless put together an impressive campaign. In 183 plate appearances, Stanton's slashing .313/.388/.663 with 17 homers and 46 RBI. He's still whiffing (35% Whiff%) and striking out (30.6% K%) aplenty, but he's crushing the ball 95.2 AVG Exit Velo and owns a 187 wRC+.
Hurston Waldrep, SP, ATL
Waldrep continued his impressive run in the Majors on Tuesday night. He gave up one run on eight hits but managed to strike out zero batters across 5.1 innings. The 23-year-old didn't fare all that well in Triple-A this season, going 7-8 with a 4.42 ERA and 4.91 BB/9, but he's been a revelation so far with the big team. He now owns a .90 ERA and .93 WHIP across five starts, accumulating a 4-0 record. Tuesday was the first game that Waltrup started this season in which he didn't earn a win. Across 30.0 innings, the youngster has yet to give up a home run and has kept hard contact to a minimum. Waldrep owned a 33.3% Hard-Hit% and 3.4% Barrel% coming into Tuesday's start.
Hunter Goodman, C, COL
Goodman went 1 for 4 with a two-run shot on Tuesday in Houston. He now has 26 homers on the season, giving him the third most amongst catchers, trailing only Big Dump Raleigh (50) and Shea Langeliers (29). With a .275/.323/.524 triple-slash line and .361 wOBA, the 25-year-old has been mighty impressive this season. What's more impressive is that it hasn't been the Coors Field handicap that has gotten him here. He has 10 homers at home and 16 on the road. The youngster has some work to do in the plate discipline department; his 32.5% Whiff% (5th percentile) and 35.9% Chase% (8th percentile) have resulted in a 26.5% K% and 6.0% BB%. Goodman has made up for those shortcomings with a 48.4% Hard-Hit% that ranks in the 80th percentile and a 12.9% Barrel% that ranks in the 81st.
Lucas Giolito, SP, BOS
Giolito collected his 9th win, tossing 8.0 shutout innings in Baltimore. He gave up four hits, walked one, and fanned eight, while bringing his ERA down to 3.47 on the season. After recording a 4.90 ERA in 2023 and a 4.88 ERA in 2024, the 2025 season has been a bounce-back for the 31-year-old on the surface. However, the advanced stats aren't particularly pretty. With a 90.4 AVG Exit Velo (22nd percentile) and 9.8% Barrel% (25th percentile), he is getting hit hard. Additionally, Giolito's 9.8% SwStr% and 7.47 K/9 are his lowest marks since 2018. He owns a 5.21 xERA (12th percentile) and a .280 xBA (14th percentile).
Kyle Teel, C, CHW
Teel continued his hot-hitting ways on Tuesday night, going 3 for 4 with an RBI. He's hitting .519 (14-27) with two homers and nine RBI over his last seven games, collecting 2+ hits in five of those contests. The 23-year-old has displayed a great approach at the plate in his rookie season, with a 24.5% Chase Rate; he owns an impressive 11.1% walk rate. In 189 Plate appearances, Teel boasts a .294/.383/.417 triple-slash line with a .355 wOBA and 128 wRC+.
