NL Player Comment

Schuyler Dombroske

Alfonso Soriano - Expanding on what Joe said this morning, I completely agree that Soriano is primed for an excellent month. One thing I've noticed about hot hitters is the tendency to hit the ball with authority to the opposite field. Derrek Lee, Alex Rodriguez, and now Soriano have shown tremendous power to the opposite field during their hot streaks (Lee's have been mostly of the double variety, but still). As recently as a week ago Soriano was pull-happy to a fault, so this is a great sign if you ask me. Moving from Washington to Chicago should help him most terrific power numbers for the foreseeable future, much like his teammate Lee improved his power numbers soon after arriving in town.
