David Regan

American League

22 Daric Barton OAK 1B B+ After hitting .454 in June, A's reportedly considering dealing D. Johnson to make room for Barton.

23 Adam Jones SEA OF B+ Much closer to being ready now than he was last year when he hit .216 for the M's.

33 Wladimir Balentien SEA OF B Just keeps on mashing (.333, 4 HR in last 10 games). Up to .324/.395/.596 for the year.

35 Josh Fields CHW 3B B Hit 3rd homer on Monday, but .235 AVG isn't helped by 62% contact rate.

38 Chris Parmalee MIN OF B Showing good power (.219 ISO), but AVG (.243) held down by 72% contact rate.

18 Wade Davis TAM SP B+ Moving up fast. 1.93 ERA and 21:3 K:BB in 3 AA starts. Rays are LOADED.

20 Michael Bowden BOS SP B 6.31 ERA in 25 innings in June, 3 runs in 5 IP in first start in July. Still just 20 though.

22 Joba Chamberlain NYY SP B After year's first bad start, he recovered to strike out 10 in 5 innings last time out. 1.41 K/I for year.

25 Chuck Lofgren CLE SP B 1.04 K/I but overall a disappointing year - 4.74 ERA. Lately: 7.31 ERA in last 3 starts.

28 Garrett Olson BAL SP B 4-1, 1.80 ERA, 40:13 K:BB in 40 June innings gets him the call to Baltimore.

National League

36 Chase Headley SD 3B B 3-for-17 in brief stint with the Padres. He'll battle for a starting job next spring.

37 Angel Villalona SF 3B B .300/.333/.600 in 30 at-bats. Could be the next Miguel Cabrera, but waaaaay too early to tell.

40 Neil Walker PIT 3B B .188 in last 10 games, but that does include 2 HR and a 9:7 K:BB so don't worry.

43 Tony Abreu LAD 3B B- Playing time very sporadic with Nomar now at 3B. Possible 2B next year or UT guy.

48 Matt Antonelli SD 2B B- .313/.404/.488 is very good for anyone, particularly a 2B. 0.82 EYE and 15 SBs.

7 Clayton Kershaw LAD SP A- 4.1-6-5-5-2-7 hiccup in last start but still a 2.24 ERA and 1.35 K/I.

9 Max Scherzer ARI SP A- 1.29 ERA, 45:5 K:BB in 28 IP. Could impact the NL West race come August.

14 Mike Pelfrey NYM SP A- Got the loss on Sunday, but 2 ER in 5 IP is fine. May stick around with Sosa on DL.

19 Troy Patton HOU SP B+ K/I has taken a hit from 0.95 to 0.66 this year but ERA remains a strong 2.99 and he is now in AAA.

24 Franklin Morales COL SP B Electric arm, but 55:33 K:BB shows he has work to do on his command.
