Prospect Spreadsheet Updates - May 20, 2010

David Regan

American League

11 Brett Wallace TOR 1B A- 70% CT% 2 weeks ago up to 74% now. .987 OPS means bat may be ready.

13 Mike Trout LAA OF A- How's this?: .372 in Apr, .373 in May. 1.018 OPS AND 20 steals. Fast, fast riser here.

14 Michael Taylor OAK OF A- Just .200 in May. This is looking like a trade (Brett Wallace/Taylor) that Beane may lose.

24 Tyler Flowers CHW C B+ 63.3% CT% is Rob Deer like, but .896 OPS has Sox considering dealing AJP.

31 Hank Conger LAA C B+ Just .133 in 10 games and a .740 OPS overall. That gets him a drop on this list.

26 Alexander Colome TB SP B+ 41:12 K:BB in 39.2 innings and hitters batting .186 against him. Rich get richer.

27 Aaron Crow KC SP B+ 4.75 ERA and 25:20 K:BB in 47.2 innings is a big disappointment for 09 1st rounder.

41 Zack Britton BAL SP B Not overly dominant (6.7 K/9), but 3 GB for every FB sure helps. Innings-eater type.

43 Alex White CLE SP B RHP holding LH hitters to .159 AVG. Polished college guy who could move quickly.

46 Garrett Richards LAA SP B 2009 supplemental first rounder tossed a 9 IP, 10 K game last time out. Nice full-season debut.

National League

19 Freddie Freeman ATL 1B A- .794 OPS and 0.50 EYE for ATL 1B of the future. Future won't be until Glaus is gone/hurt however.

20 Yonder Alonso CIN 1B B+ Promoted to AAA and hit .381 in first five games including 6 RBI game.

22 Ike Davis NYN 1B B+ Mets fans already have him in the Hall-of-Fame. He's been very good, but let's not get carried away.

26 Josh Vitters CHC 3B B+ 11-for-28 since AA promotion but I'm still concerned about 0.32 EYE. Still, a very nice year.

27 Jason Castro HOU C B+ Weird line - .248/.377/.277. 1.24 EYE and a Juan Pierre-like three XBH in 101 at-bats.

1 Stephen Strasburg WAS SP A+ All signs point to June 4 (approx) debut. Should be joining Drew Storen any week now.

2 Aroldis Chapman CIN SP A 3.1 IP, 8 ER last time out. After his impressive spring, you'd have thought he's already be in the HOF.

6 Christian Friedrich COL SP A 5/14 was first start since 4/19 (sore elbow). 7:4 K:BB in 4.1 IP indicates a little rust.

8 Madison Bumgarner SF SP A- Rising. 8 K on Monday was season-high by 3. Now has 1.54 ERA in last 6 GS.

12 Shelby Miller STL SP A- 5.1-3-0-0-2-5 was nice rebound from a poor start. 46:11 K:BB in 29 IP is highly impressive.
