Prospect Spreadsheet Updates - May 3, 2012

David Regan

Hitters

10 Travis d'Arnaud TOR C A- .390 in last 10 games after slow start. We'll see him later this year.

12 Anthony Rizzo CHC 1B A- .384 and ready when needed. LaHair hitting nearly as well for Cubs however.

13 Willie Middlebrooks BOS 3B A- .348/.396/.708 and the Red Sox faithful want him up now. Wish granted.

15 Jake Marisnik TOR OF A- 10 hits in 4 games last week. Up to .270/.362/.500 with 5 SB.

18 Wilin Rosario COL C B+ Sporadic playing time has led to .194 average. Next year though, he's the guy.

19 Gary Brown SF OF B+ .227/.333/.284 with 6 SB, so it's been a bit of a slow start.

20 Yasmani Grandal SD C B+ 3-for-10 with 2 HR in first 3 games back from 18-day hamstring injury.

21 Hak-Ju Lee TB SS B+ Finishes April with a .248/.315/.327 line. That won't get him to the big leagues.

22 Brett Jackson CHC OF B+ .236/.343/.416 as contact issues (68.5% CT%) are catching up to him a bit..for now.

25 Gary Sanchez NYY C B+ .346/.407/.462. No HRs yet, but already 6 steals and some power should come.

Pitchers

3 Trevor Bauer ARI SP A Corbin gets the call over Bauer but only because Bauer's turn in the rotation didn't line up.

4 Dylan Bundy BAL SP A Stop the presses. He allowed a hit. 17 IP, 1 hit, 0 ER, 25:2 K:BB now.

5 Jameson Taillon PIT SP A Off to a great start - 1.46 ERA and 28:4 K:BB in 24.2 innings.

6 Tyler Skaggs ARI SP A- At least 7 K in each of his four starts. 34:5 K:BB in 23.1 innings.

7 Gerrit Cole PIT SP A- First full year has gone nicely - 29:7 K:BB In 23 innings.

8 Archie Bradley ARI SP A- No hits in 5 IP last time out. 2.08 ERA and 30:14 K:BB in 28 innings.

9 Drew Pomeranz COL SP A- 1.80 WHIP in 1st 2 big league starts, so he's a work in progress right now.

10 Julio Teheran ATL SP A- Opening is there, but he has 2 good and 2 bad starts in AAA.

12 Jake Odorizzi KC SP A- 15:3 K:BB in 13 IP over last two starts. Should see him in KC later this year.

15 Danny Hultzen SEA SP B+ Hitters batting just .149 against him. Could hold his own in the big leagues now.
