Schuyler Dombroske: has been a Yankees fan since the early '80's, and has absolutely no remorse about the Boss spending money since he believes, that in no way guarantees any type of success by itself. Schuyler has been playing some form of fantasy baseball since 1987, switching from play-by-mail PTP board leagues to roto-style ball in around 1993. Schuyler still plays Diamond Mind (sort of 2nd generation PTP), roto, Diamond Kings, and STATS Diamond Legends on a reasonably consistent basis. Schuyler lives in Syracuse, NY with his wife, Deena, son Griffin (18), and daughter Kendall (16). Schuyler has been a financial advisor, now with Cadaret Grant, since 1995.
Cristopher Sanchez (SP - PHI) - With Wheeler and Nola doing their usual stuff and Suarez, Turnbull, and Sanchez impressing in various amounts, is Taijuan Walker back to the rotation this weekend really a thing? Sanchez struggled a bit on...
Maikel Garcia (3B - KC) - Garcia hit his 4th HR of the year on Monday against Yusei Kikuchi and the Jays in a 5-3 defeat. He does have 4 SB to go along with the 4 HR.....and a 178/224/367...
Edward Cabrera (SP - MIA) - Well, the Marlins threw everybody for a loop on Monday. AJ Puk reportedly came down with an illness, so Miami decided to demote Max Meyer, fresh off an excellent outing against the Braves, and...
Blake Snell (SP - SF) - Snell made his long-awaited SF debut against the offensively offensive Nationals on Monday, and while it looked poor on the surface (3 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 5 K), it was pretty...
Brady Singer (SP - KC) - On the opposite side of the disastrous start from helium-laden Bailey Ober, the forgotten Brady Singer looked electric while shutting out the Twins over 7 innings. He allowed 3 doubles and a walk, striking...
Kevin Gausman (TOR - SP) - Kevin Gausman made his long-awaited spring debut on Monday after dealing with some shoulder fatigue early in camp, and he was brilliant against a lineup filled primarily with Pittsburgh regulars. He allowed 3 singles...
Bo Naylor (C - CLE) - Naylor put together a 333/478/667 September coming into Saturday's game (which he did not start), and is showing every sign of being a top-12 player at the position in 2024. He's one of just...
Aaron Judge (OF - NYY) - I think that there might be some value on Aaron Judge in 2024 drafts. People are going to look at another year with over 50 missed games and, unfairly in my mind, reassert the...
Royce Lewis (3B - MIN) - Lewis singled twice and homered again on Monday, knocking in 6 runs in the Twins' 20-6 shellacking of the Guardians. Lewis has 7 homers in his last 12 games now, bringing his season slash...
Vlad Guerrero Jr (1B - TOR) - Vlad finally picked up HR #20 in game #127 on Sunday, and he's now hit in 8 straight. He's basically had one good week a month since April, so it's worth trying to...
Alex Bregman (3B - HOU) - Bregman reached base 5 times on Monday via 2 walks, 2 singles, and a double in a 9-4 win over Boston. He's an easy player to be disappointed by, as after a pair of...
Ha-Seong Kim (2/S/3 - SD) - Kim singled, homered, and walked twice in the 11-1 drubbing of the Rockies on Wednesday. Kim is finally becoming the sort of player that we expected to see in his 3rd season since coming...
Max Scherzer (SP - TEX) - Scherzer was dealt to the Rangers on Saturday for AA SS Luisangel Acuna and cash. At first glance, I don't love this for Scherzer's value. Yes, the 39 year old may be happier in...
Jose Abreu (1B - HOU) - Abreu doubled and homered to help the Astros come back and win a 12-11 slugfest on Monday, giving him a 10-game on-base streak. I apologize for doubting the power of the calendar! After 2...
Justin Verlander (SP - NYM) - You might look at Verlander's box score from Monday and think that he was pretty decent, just not all that efficient, by throwing 5 shutout innings in a 2-1 loss to Milwaukee. Watching the...
Sandy Alcantara (SP - MIA) - Alcantara had one bad inning once again in Wednesday's start, allowing 5 runs on 6 hits in the 2nd but tossing up zeroes in the other 6 innings he pitched during the 6-3 loss...
Corbin Burnes (SP - MIL) - Burnes' recent hot streak came to a very abrupt end on Monday, as a 6-run 1st inning resulted in this final line against Arizona: 5 IP, 8 H, 7 ER, 2 BB, 3 K....
Zach McKinstry (2B/SS/3B/OF - DET) - McKinstry has emerged as Detroit's leadoff hitter over the last few weeks, reaching base 27 times over 12 straight starts. He's hitting 296/412/448 for the year, the exit velocity has jumped up into the...
Merrill Kelly (SP - ARI) - Kelly dominated the A's on Monday, allowing 4 hits and 2 runs (1 earned) over 7 innings with 1 walk and 9 K's to move to 4-3 on the year. This was Kelly's 3rd...
Lamonte Wade Jr. (1B/OF - SF) - Wade homered for the 5th time in the past 10 games on Monday, pushing his slash line up to 260/443/575 through 98 PAs this year. This may seem crazy, but I'm not totally...
Joey Lucchesi (SP - NYM) - Lucchesi looked great in his return to the majors, shutting down a very heavily RH Giant lineup to pick up his first MLB win in 2 seasons. The 29 year old allowed 4 hits...
Cody Bellinger (OF - CUB) - Bellinger extended his hitting streak to 7 games on Monday in style, tallying 4 singles and a double in the Cubs 10-1 victory in Oakland. Here's how you know it's still early: Bellinger's slash...
Andrew Heaney (SP - TEX) - Now that's what I'm talking about! I'm glad we had the courage of our convictions to stick with Heaney this week after his opening debacle against the O's, as Heaney put up the kind...
Miguel Vargas (LAD - 2B) - I wouldn't read too much into the spring stats of Vargas, who didn't even swing a bat for the first handful of games that he played in. Excluding the games in which he wasn't...
Jordan Walker (3B/OF - STL) - Every year there's a prospect that has a hot spring training and sees their ADP shrink seemingly by the hour, and this year that guy is Jordan Walker. Walker is absolutely a legitimate hitter,...
Anthony Volpe (SS/2B - NYY) - The Yankees appear set in the middle infield right now with 5 players for 4 spots, but the underwhelming performances of IKF and Donaldson last season may leave a small opening for Anthony Volpe...
Bryan De La Cruz (OF - MIA) - I'm starting to get intrigued here. De La Cruz was demoted in mid-August after hitting 205/249/332 through his first 90 games with Miami, and the playing time was pretty consistent for June...
Nick Gordon (2B/SS/OF - MIN) - Gordon singled and homered on Monday, giving him 3 HR in his last 6 games. The 26 year old's progress toward a productive player has been much slower than expected, but he was hitting...
Alex Cobb (SP - SF) - Cobb bounced back from a rough outing in LA last week to toss a gem on Monday night: 7 IP, 6 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 7 K against the Braves. Cobb has really...
Hunter Brown (P - HOU) - The Astros had been incredibly patient with Hunter Brown compared to most teams these days, giving him over 200 IP in the high minors over the past two seasons before tabbing him for his...
Corbin Carroll (OF - ARI) - Corbin Carroll made his major league debut on Monday, going 1-5 with a 2-run double in the victory over the Phillies. Carroll is a must-add in all formats immediately, as the 22 year old...
Albert Pujols (future HOF - STL) - Can we talk about what the future Hall-of-Famer is doing? He has looked done since 2016, including a 215/301/376 line in the first half this year. Something happened during that HR Derby I...
Johnny Cueto (P - CWS) - Cueto baffled the Astros for 8 innings on Monday, allowing 6 hits and 2 runs (1 earned) despite only striking out 3. That's Cueto's 9th straight QS, and through 16 starts he's allowed more...
Vaughn Grissom (2B/SS - ATL) - It was a heck of a debut for 21 year old Vaughn Grissom, who went 2-4 with a HR and a SB while starting at 2B on Wednesday for the Braves. Grissom has done...
Jon Gray (SP - TEX) - Gray continued his run of solid pitching on Wednesday with a phenomenal outing against the hapless A's: 7 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 9 K. Since the beginning of June, Gray is...
Isaac Paredes (1/2/3 - TB) - Paredes got the day off on Wednesday, something that hopefully won't cool off this tremendous hot streak that he's been on. Paredes is hitting .291 with 10 HR over the past 30 days, and...
